#171: Broadcast #15

---SSL: October 30, 2010---

This week's show topics:

- Awful officiating benefits Steelers.

- A quick look ahead at the Steelers and Saints.

- A proposition for Fleury apologists as the Pens continue to struggle with him in net.

- NFL Picks of the Week. Entering the week, my Steeler picks are 4-3 after the Steelers did not cover 3 points (and because my Baltimore pick in Week 5 was subbing for the Steeler bye) and 4-3 on the Pick of the Week as Cleveland not only covered 2 touchdowns against New Orleans - the actually won.

---Blurry---

Well, it's Saturday, so it still counts as the next week. Once again, I'll try to post a sports photo, or maybe a story, that just makes you say, "WTF?"

This week, highly-ranked women's tennis player Kim Clijsters of Belgium. Apparently, she was in a fender bender prior to her WTA Championship semi-final match with Australia's Samantha Stosur. And it seems that, although she was not injured, the accident has mutated Clijsters into a creature capable of moving faster than the speed of sports camera shutters.

#169: Broadcast #14

---SSL: October 23, 2010---

This week's show topics:

- Recap of Steelers/Browns game.

- NFL needs to be consistent with its punishment of helmet-to-helmet hits. I offer a suggestion.

- What Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury's problem could be...one that maybe we hadn't considered.

- NFL Picks of the Week. Entering the week, my Steeler picks are 4-2 (because my Baltimore pick was subbing for the Steeler bye) and 3-3 on the Pick of the Week as a pass interference call aids the Jets, thwarting my Broncos pick.

#168 - WTFotW

---Touched---

Instead of just reposting my weekly sports talk show on WMBS-AM every week, I'll also try to find a picture or quote every week that just makes you scratch your head or LOL...perhaps even ROFL.

I seriously doubt with my posting track record since this blog's inception in 2006 that I'll even post again next week, but I couldn't let this go.

In this day and age, who at Yahoo! thought this was a good headline/teaser?

Sheesh...

#167: Broadcast #13

---SSL: October 16, 2010---

This week's show topics:

- Ben Roethlisberger will be at Heinz Field. As will a few protesters.

- Pirates managerial list is chalk full of more-o'-th'-same.

- Penguins offense carries some blame for their slow start, not just Marc-Andre Fleury.

- NFL Picks of the Week. Entering the week, my Steeler picks are 3-2 (because my Baltimore pick was subbing for the Steeler bye) and 3-2 on the Pick of the Week as the Redskins beat the Packers.

#166: Broadcast #12

---SSL: October 9, 2010---

This week's show topics:

- Steelers go 3-1 without Big Ben, but loss is to a division opponent. But the bye is coming at THE right time.

- An interview with Pirates broadcaster Tim Neverett, eulogizing the 57-105 Buccos.

- Pitt Panthers a 6-point underdog to Irish.

- Penguins have subpar opener, but it's just one game.

Last week, I did my show remotely (from Corning, Iowa; the birthplace of Johnny Carson) and it was not recorded. You'll have to take my word that I took the Ravens to win 13-9 (making me 2-2 on my Steeler picks on the year), and I took the Seahawks to cover 1.5 points on the road against the St. Louis Rams (making me 2-2 on my picks of the week, too).

Listen in to get my two picks this week (I subbed the Baltimore/Denver game for the Steeler game pick, since they have a bye).
