#193: Gearing Up

---SSL Broadcast #34---

The Penguins and Flyers play at Consol Energy Center on Tuesday in a showdown that COULD be for first place. It's going to be a hard and expensive seat to get. But you can get tickets (without all those annoying convenience charges) if you click on the banner for Sports Events International. And don't forget, the Pirates home opener is coming up.

Topics on the latest show:

- Interview with Pirates Broadcaster Greg Brown, complete with a brief cell phone disconnect and dial tone. You can't write comedy this good.

- Penguins went 3-1 this week, including three straight shoot-out wins, and the 10-17 game suspension of forward Matt Cooke is appropriate, if not a little light.

- Pittsburgh Power wins its first game as a franchise.

- Pitt Panthers bow early to Butler, but Butler was never a pushover candidate.

#192: Mad March

---SSL Broadcast #33---

If you haven't done so already, please click on the banner for Sports Events International. If you need tickets to a hard-to-get-into sports, theater or concert event, SEI should be your first stop, because it will often be your last. Pirates home opener? Pittsburgh Penguins? Power? They're your source.

Topics on this show:

- How are you doing on your bracket? Probably better than Steeltown Mike.

- Penguins went 2-1 this week, but beat up on the NHL doormats and got shut out by the lone contender they faced.

- Pirates (not surprisingly) sputter in spring training.

- AFL needs to capitalize on the NFL lockout to increase popularity.

- Pitt one-and-done for 3rd year in a row in the Big East Tournament
